ABOUT MAGIC BULLET RECORDS

Magic Bullet Records started in 1997 inside of a small apartment near the campus of Penn State University. It is currently operated out of Fredericksburg, Virginia.  From day one onward, the focus has been on providing forward-thinking and innovative musicians/artists with a cooperative, hands-on, DIY-rooted method of getting their music heard.

The label is owned and operated by Brent Eyestone with assistance from Dwid Hellion, Nate Newton, and Eric Richter in band selection.  If you are interested in sending music in for us to check out, you may do so… we will certainly try to listen to everything, but can not guarantee it. Please do not send Mp3’s, press kits, or lists of bands you “shared the stage with.”  If that’s your scene, you’re better suited elsewhere.

To support the label and all of the bands directly, please visit the webstore section of this site and pick up any of the dozens of releases we have to offer. We currently accept Credit Cards, Paypal, and traditional mailorder. Additionally, the majority of our catalog is available via the iTunes Music Store.

• For all other inquiries and general contact, please email us here.

• If you run an independent record store or a distro, please contact our distributors for wholesale rates:
- Independent Label Collective: Dan Phillips
- Dischord Direct: Brian Lowitt

ABOUT MAGIC BULLET RECORDS & SKATEBOARDS (OUR RETAIL STORE)

Magic Bullet Skateboards started in 2004 inside of a small skateshop  near the campus of Mary Washington University. The focus has always been to provide the skateboarders of Fredericksburg, VA and the surrounding areas with affordable, DIY-centered deck options featuring the artwork of bands and musicians that we personally believe in. A large part of the ethos involves supporting our local community through routinely staging free entertainment for area residents (video premieres, live music performances, art shows, contests, and more).

On December 3, 2009, Magic Bullet Records & Skateboards (a retail store) was opened in downtown Fredericksburg.  The retail store is owned and operated by Mark Eyestone with assistance from Daniel Ache.  It offers a a full selection of all things Magic Bullet (records, skateboards, DVD’s, CD’s, apparel, wheels, and more) as well as other brands and labels run by friends and individuals that we personally endorse and believe in.

We’d love to see in the store.  Location and shop hours are as follows:
