On the heels of a debut split 7” with Los Angeles, CA’s VORS (released earlier in the year), Free Inside is the first proper 7” EP from Richmond, VA’s BLEACH EVERYTHING. The band’s membership pedigree is highlighted by a present and past that includes IRON REAGAN, MAMMOTH GRINDER, JESUIT, SUPPRESSION, and CORN ON MACABRE amongst countless others. As one could surmise, BLEACH EVERYTHING specializes in all things short, fast, loud, violent, and often absurd.

Rooted deeply in the DIY punk ethos that gave each member a roadmap toward individual and collective musical longevity deep into adult life, all skills of the trade are on display here. Musically, the band charges further forward on the hellbent path established on the VORS split; absolutely relentless in its urgency, unrepentant in its sonic heft, and rife with entropic freneticism. Thematically, the band calls for self-empowerment (title track), self-reliance (“Sons of Hecate”), and space terror (“Facehugger”)…

…all within the span of five minutes.

Track List:
01. Free Inside
02. Sons of Hecate

Deathkamp ov the Skull + Funeral Embrace combines THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA’s two most recent 7” releases onto convenient CD and digital formats.

The first three tracks on the disc comprise Deathkamp ov the Skull, with the title track itself annihilating all prior expectations of the band. The song alone is nearly eight minutes in length and finds the band exploring more of a slow, brooding heaviness before exploding into their familiar brand of evil thrash and unrelenting blasts of murderous musical napalm just past the five-minute mark. “First Blood Part II” keeps the pedal to the metal, not letting up once. From there, “TormentORR” answers the question “what happens when THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA and INTEGRITY collaborate on a track?,” as INTEGRITYsinger Dwid Hellion and guitarist Rob Orr leave indelible marks with their contributions.

The Funeral Embrace portion is five songs of what THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA is more traditionally known for: absolute violent mayhem, typically in doses of under two minutes at a time. “Amphetamine Psychosis” sounds exactly as fucked up and demented as it reads. “Serve the Cult” isn’t so much a call to action as it is a demand punishable by humanity’s annihilation. “Savage II” is pure nihilism put to tape; if you play this in front of small children, you are a bad person. “Into the Grave” and “Funeral Embrace” serve almost as a one-two punch about getting real about death and the fate of all men, women, and living things on the planet. It only ends one way, but hell be damned if the members of THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA aren’t going out with their hands around more than a few throats on the way out.

Track List:

02. First Blood Part II

Palm Sunday is a CD and DVD set that documents a 1992 performance by Cleveland hardcore legends INTEGRITY, captured in their hometown at local venue Peabody’s. Coming a year off the release of their album Those Who Fear Tomorrow in 1991, the band performs eight songs from the album, plus B-side rarities “Rebirth” and “Live it Down.” This particular recording and accompanying video holds a special place in the hearts of the INTEGRITY faithful, as it features the revered lineup of Dwid Hellion on vocals, guitarists Aaron Melnick and Chris Smith, bassist Leon Melnick, and drummer Dave Araca.

The 2015 reissue of this fan favorite comes packaged in a jumbo double digipak with liners from Aaron “A2” Melnick, photography from the show, and art from Dwid Hellion. The DVD portion is exclusive to the physical format and not available via iTunes, Bandcamp, or traditional digital distributors. Viewers can expect pure chaos, as Hellion goads and taunts audience members between songs, a switchblade surfaces from the audience, gunshots are fired, and a general mania overcomes all in attendance that night now so many years ago.

Alert the media: Florida Man has finally started a band as reckless and completely fucked as the headlines we’ve all come to know, love, and fear.

MEATWOUND is a band comprised of former members of Combatwoundedveteran, The Holy Mountain, Headless Dogs, Primate Research, and more. Impossibly dangerous and hardcore as shit, a thundering concoction of 1990s influences drive the MEATWOUND sound; a magnetic gutter wherein the pentatonic, industrialized elements of Fudge Tunnel and Godflesh meet a sordid death metal edge meshing Sepultura and Exit-13, all while a throbbing Big Black-style of hardcore punk gets a scuzzy sci-fi kick in the nuts that harkens The Locust. It’s beyond aggressive, it’s as unruly as a pet store on fire, and, like Warchild from “Point Break,” it’s here to fuck you up.

Addio, MEATWOUND‘s debut, was recorded with Dan Byer at Rock Garden Recording in St. Petersburg, Florida, mastered by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound, and features the twisted artwork of Chris Norris, aka Steak Mtn.

THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA: Negative Hardcore Outfit Begins Pillaging The West Coast With Theories Today

Oct 23 2015

“The man who may or may not have stabbed someone over a box of chicken returns…” – Noisey

West Coast faction, THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA, will rein its malicious brew of contemptuous, nihilistic hardcore down upon fifteen cities in the great western realms of America’s killing fields. The invasion begins this evening in Seattle, home to megagrinders, Theories, and tourmates to the GEHENNA horde for the entire routing. Shows with The Body, Catharsis, Thou, Full Of Hell, Landmine Marathon and more along the way are also on the agenda.

Having intimidated the hardcore community with a vicious and controversial reign of terror since the early 1990s, the sect appropriately redubbed itself to THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA in recent years barring them from other acts bearing the moniker. Since the band’s inception, their truly depraved outlook on life and the human race has set them apart from the pack; their hatred for everything around them seething through every moment of every song they’ve ever released, the band having released a plague of material through CrimethInc, A389 Records, Area 51, Crawlspace and other labels since the mid-1990s. The outfit’s most recent auditory trauma comes through two EPs — Deathkamp Ov The Skull andFuneral Embrace — which were issued on 7” vinyl via Holy Terror Records and together on CD via Magic Bullet Records.

Both Deathkamp Ov The Skull and Funeral Embrace are now available separately on 7” vinyl EPs through Holy Terror Records RIGHT HERE and on one CD through Magic Bullet Records HERE; digital sales can be placed via Bandcamp HERE and iTunes HERE.

Additional tour dates including a large European invasion in 2016 and more is being devised for THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA; stand by for further broadcasts.

THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA’s Deathkamp Ov The Skull material annihilates all prior expectations of the band. The title track alone is nearly eight minutes in length and finds the band exploring more of a slow, brooding heaviness before exploding into their familiar brand of evil thrash and unrelenting blasts of murderous musical napalm just past the five-minute mark. “First Blood Part II” keeps the pedal to the metal, not letting up once. From there, “TormentORR” answers the question, “What happens when THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA and Integrity collaborate on a track?,” as Integrity’s singer Dwid Hellion and guitarist Rob Orr leave indelible marks with their contributions.

Cvlt Nation premieres the first single from One Foot In The Flesh Grave, offering an exclusive early listen to “Don’t Forget The Sun,” their accompanying write-up including, “So what happens when a band cooks up a bunch of songs that defy genres and is able to channel their influences through the lens of honesty? This is just the case with WAILIN STORMS, whose soon to be released album One Foot In The Flesh Grave sounds like a morbid plate of hot grits covered in zombie blood. This band knows how to write songs that channel the Gothic past of the south while still keeping the ghost of Robert Johnson happy. Have a dark fucking open mind – let the WAILIN STORMS blow right in, and you will not be disappointed!”

Let the grim flow of WAILIN STORMS’ “Don’t Forget The Sun” drown you via Cvlt Nation RIGHT HERE.

Following 2011’s Bone Colored Moon and 2014’s Shiver EPs, the band now prepares to unveil their sprawling full-length recording. Recorded and mixed at Warrior Sound, by Al Jacob and mastered by Carl Saff, One Foot In The Flesh Grave serves as a warning shot to all things safe, prescribed, and banal; these seven songs of deep, dark, swampy and catchy-as-all-hell new material serve as hymns for the ongoing funeral procession of everyday life. Crossing its path bestows the karmic powers of a black cat in reverse. WAILIN STORMS: Magic Bullet Records Issues November Release Details For Debut LP By Doom Punk Quartet

Oct 09 2015

mark-maya-photography-wailin-storms-2_web[photo by Mark Maya]

Magic Bullet Records has locked down November 20th as the official release date for One Foot In The Flesh Grave, the debut LP from Durham, North Carolina-based WAILIN STORMS.

WAILIN STORMS creatively merges doom punk and swampy rock, led by ominous, blues-driven vocals reminiscent of Danzig and Samhain, while musically carved from the Southern American East Coast with emotive nods to Destruction Unit, Clockleaner, Unsane and Pussy Galore. The band’s output is incessantly passionate and harrowing in its entirety; think the Murder City Devils… but if they actually murdered people under possession by the god-damned devil. Following 2011’s Bone Colored Moon and 2014’s Shiver EPs, the band now prepares to unveil their sprawling full-length recording.

WAILIN STORMS One Foot In The Flesh Grave serves as a warning shot to all things safe, prescribed, and banal; the band’s deep, dark, swampy and catchy-as-all-hell new material bears seven hymns for the ongoing funeral procession of everyday life. Crossing its path bestows the karmic powers of a black cat in reverse. Recorded and mixed at Warrior Sound, by Al Jacob and mastered by Carl Saff, the bold production of these seven tales pushes the bending, wayward guitars and thick rumbling of the percussive end out heavily alongside the nonstop dynamic lead and supplementary vocal performances. Completed with artwork by Bruno Guerreiro of Decibel magazine, One Foot In The Flesh Grave will help make WAILIN STORMS a household name to all as the album makes its grim rising this harvest season.

Magic Bullet Records will issue One Foot In The Flesh Grave on all digital platforms as well as both red and clear vinyl pressings on November 20th. Audio previews, an official video and more on the album will be unveiled in the days ahead. Vinyl preorders are also still pending, but digital preorders are available early at Bandcamp HERE. And if you missed it, the album trailer is playing RIGHT HERE.

INTEGRITY: Den Of Iniquity Reissue And Humanity Is The Devil: 20th Anniversary Remix + Remaster To See CD And Digital Release Via Magic Bullet Records In October

Sep 23 2015

The decadent, wayward psalms of Cleveland’s legendary, end-time metallic hardcore entity, INTEGRITY, continue to be reissued onto the masses, as Magic Bullet Records confirms the impending release of two more titles in October, including an official reissue of the Den Of Iniquity rare/early works collection, as well as a remixed and remastered 20th Anniversary edition of the iconic Humanity Is The Devil album.

INTEGRITY’s groundbreaking Humanity Is The Devil, has long been regarded as the album that completely turned both hardcore and metal on its head. Originally released in 1995, the recording initially sent a mammoth shockwave through the underground, as the band had crafted a proprietary sound wherein metal and hardcore had simply not been fused before. Phrases like “metallic hardcore” and “metalcore” came into prominence within the popular lexicon only after everyone heard what INTEGRITY was doing on this album in particular. Further, singer Dwid Hellion’s foray into much darker, psychological depths lyrically served to raise the bar and open the floodgates for countless others to break away from the trappings of traditional hardcore and metal fodder. To describe Humanity Is The Devil as seminal both in the band’s career and the metallic hardcore genre on the whole would only serve to yield a “yeah, no shit” out of anyone who lived through it at the time.

To celebrate the enduring impact and power of the album, a special remixed and remastered 20th anniversary version of Humanity Is The Devil has been created. Painstakingly mixed by Joel Grind, under guidance from INTEGRITY guitarist Aaron Melnick and vocalist Dwid Hellion, and mastered by Brad Boatwright — both at Audiosiege — the 2015 treatment of this epic recording do the album even more sonic justice and fidelity than was remotely possible in 1995. The result is an even wilder and somehow more visceral experience from start to finish, an album that still stands head and shoulders above anything else. The Humanity Is The Devil: 20th Anniversary Remix + Remaster features an updated treatment of Pushead’s iconic album cover, a new painting from visual artist Josh Bayer, complete lyrics from Hellion, an updated narration from Hellion himself on the album’s final track, and much more.

Den Of Iniquity is a massive, twenty-three song collection of rare tracks spanning “The Melnick Era” (1988-1998) of INTEGRITY. All material is culled from various demos, split 7”s, 7” singles, compilation appearances, and EPs. In short, this is all the hard-to-find non-album stuff of that era, fully remastered with modern vibrancy. Clocking in at a whopping sixty-six minutes, the material represented in this historical documentation includes the Grace Of The Unholy single, Harder They Fall demo, Taste Of Every Sin CD, the split 7” releases with Hatebreed, Mayday, Pale Creation, Kids Of Witney High, Psywarfare and Lockweld, tracks from the Dark Empire Strikes Back and No Exit compilations and live bonus tracks. The physical version of the Den Of Iniquity reissue includes extensive liner notes from guitarist Aaron “A2” Melnick on the recording sessions for each track and exclusive artwork from singer Dwid Hellion.

The Humanity Is The Devil: 20th Anniversary Remix + Remaster and the Den Of Iniquity reissue will see CD and digital release through Magic Bullet Records on October 30th, 2015. Digital preorders for Den Of Iniquity are available HERE and for the Humanity Is The Devil: 20th Anniversary Remix + Remaster HERE. Physical preorders will be posted in the coming days. The recently reissued infamous Palm Sunday live album and more from INTEGRITY are also already available through Magic Bullet.

THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA Announces West Coast Tour With Theories; Deathkamp Ov The Skull And Funeral Embrace EPs Out Now On Holy Terror And Magic Bullet

Sep 15 2015

Upon the release of their two most recent EPs – Deathkamp Ov The Skull and Funeral Embrace – which were issued on 7″ vinyl via Holy Terror Records and together on CD via Magic Bullet Records — West Coast tyrants, THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA, have announced a West Coast US Fall tour with Theories.

GEHENNA has intimidated the hardcore community with a vicious and controversial reign of terror since the early 1990s, and has appropriately upgraded their moniker in recent years by re-dubbing themselves THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA, separating themselves from several weaker acts bearing the Gehenna banner. Since the band’s inception, their truly depraved outlook on life and the human race has set them apart from the pack; their hatred for everything around them seething through every moment of every song they’ve ever released, the band having released a plague of material through CrimethInc, Area 51, Holy Terror, Crawlspace, A389 Records, Magic Bullet Records and more since the mid-’90s.

THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA‘s Deathkamp Ov The Skull material annihilates all prior expectations of the band. The Funeral Embrace portion is five songs of what the band is more traditionally known for: absolute violent mayhem, typically in doses of less than two minutes or less.

Stream Deathkamp Ov The Skull + Funeral Embrace via Noisey at THIS LOCATION.

Both Deathkamp Ov The Skull and Funeral Embrace are now available separately on 7″ vinyl EPs through Holy Terror Records RIGHT HERE and have been collected on one CD which is out now on Magic Bullet Records HERE; digital sales can be placed via Bandcamp HERE and iTunes HERE.

THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA will bring its confrontational live attack to the populations of the Western US this Fall, having declared a full tour of the coast alongside Seattle deathgrind outfit, Theories. Final TBA dates will be filled in the coming days as the tour is finalized. A large European tour is being planned for 2016 as well.

Durham, North Carolina-based WAILIN STORMS has announced a wave of Eastern US tour dates in advance of their impending debut LP, which will see Fall release via Magic Bullet Records.

WAILIN STORMS will spend the transition from Summer into Autumn by delivering their gritty, doom/punk inspired Southern anthems to throngs of residents spanning the majority of the East Coast and over into the Midwest states. With performances confirmed in more than two-dozen towns as of now, more tour dates are being confirmed, and the itinerary will expand in the coming days. Highlights of the tour include shows with Magic Bullet labelmates Sweet Cobra in Chicago and with cohorts We Are Hex in Indianapolis, a hometown record release show in Durham alongside Fleshwounds on October 23rd, and a set at The Fest 14 in Gainesville, joining the huge lineup also including Andrew W.K., Cult Leader, Government Issue, Iron Reagan, Lagwagon, Modern Life Is War, Title Fight, Young Widows and dozens more.

Along the upcoming routing, WAILIN STORMS will be playing new material from their upcoming maiden full-length recording, One Foot In The Flesh Grave, which showcases the band’s deep, dark, swampy and catchy as hell new material with seven hymns for this ongoing funeral procession of everyday life. One Foot In The Flesh Grave was recorded in four days by Al Jacob at Warrior Sound in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and mixed by Carl Saff, and will see release through Magic Bullet Records this Fall, the album’s final details to be announced in the days ahead, with audio samples to follow.

Originally formed in the unrelenting heat of Corpus Christi, Texas, WAILIN STORMS migrated east and ended up in Durham, North Carolina. Producing a mix of doom-punk and swampy rock with elements of their prior and current surroundings culminate into a unique and volatile brew, overridden with ominous vocal elements reminiscent of bluesy masters like Howlin’ Wolf and Samhain, and musically carved from the Southern American East Coast with emotive nods to Destruction Unit, Clockleaner, Unsane and Pussy Galore. The band’s output is incessantly passionate and harrowing in its entirety; the songs, dark and gritty, with incisive guitar slicing through heavy, churning rhythms. Lead singer Justin Storms howls convincingly amongst the cacophony, belting along as if he’s looking to recruit others to join in with him at any moment.

Recent reports on the band’s output include a write-up by RVA magazine which offers, “North Carolina’s WAILIN STORMS–named after singer Justin Storms, who is certainly wailin’–have a dark, spooky sound that will make you think simultaneously of The Wipers and Samhain, with maybe a little bit of early TSOL or Social Distortion worked in there.” Nine Circles raved about the band’s recently-reissued Shiver EP, boasting, “In a sea of Danzig and Cramps impersonators, WAILIN STORMS manages to stand out as a must-listen… WAILIN STORMS’ straight-ahead style of swamp rock is a perfection of the psychobilly genre.” Rock And Roll Fables’ review of Shiver delivers, “WAILIN STORMSsound like a band possessed which would account for some of the songs sounding downright evil here… Shiver may be comprised of just five songs but those songs will completely own you for the rest of 2015 and beyond.”

Stand by for much more on WAILIN STORMS in the coming days and throughout the rest of the year.
