The past few years have been nothing short of interesting over here.  I don’t think any of us involved would have ever imagined or speculated that music made out on the fringes by outsiders would be so embraced (and, at this point, almost co-opted) by people so diametrically “opposite” its creators.

Naturally, when you get painted into corners and claimed by things and people you’re simply not down with, there’s going to be an upheaval.  And for our brothers in THIS WILL DESTROY YOU, a very dark and clear statement of purpose has come to fruition.

With a new lineup (Alex Bohre replaces Andrew Miller on drum duty) and a new on-stage swagger (check out this article), one thing is clear: you can forget all you’ve come to know this band for and prepare for a journey straight into the void and headlong into the abyss.  I’ve received the mastered tracks for Moving on the Edges of Things (the band’s new 12″) and can guarantee that nobody out there is truly prepared for what’s about to happen to your turntable.  Buckle in.
